We are Fitness Inspired Teacher Training, a company offering QCF recognised fitness industry courses taught across the South Coast run by a network of teachers and assessors with a wealth of knowledge and experience from a range of disciplines and backgrounds. All our teachers and assessors currently work and run businesses within the fitness industry.
From 2008 to 2017 the company has been lead by Chris and Tamara in West Sussex, the pair have been designing and delivering a variety of fitness training courses for over fifteen years each, qualifying over 2000 fitness instructors in varying disciplines.
Our main aims are to offer you high quality REPs, SkillsActive, Active IQ and CYQ courses and workshops at affordable prices giving you the opportunity of a rewarding career in the industry and we are inspired to educate others.
We all have multidisciplinary health and fitness backgrounds, within Pilates, Swimming Teaching, Group exercise, Personal Training, Special Populations, Coaching, Yoga, Massage, Sports Therapy,Children Fitness, GP Exercise Referrals, Fitness Management, Healthcare, Nursing, Cardiac Rehab, football and Multi Sports Coaching . We also have a backgrounds in Health and Fitness club management and marketing, coordinating both wet and dry activities within local council and private facilities.
A graduate of Laine Theatre Arts and an Associate ISTD, Pilates Mat, Reformer and Cadillac Trainer.
Cherry is the Owner and Director of Cherry’s Fitness Suite and has many years teaching experience all over the world, having taught and danced from London to Athens and New York before moving to South Africa and then back to the UK.
Jenny’s love for yoga began in 2002 whilst on a backpacking trip in Thailand. Ever since, she has travelled the world exploring and deepening her practice. She spent a year in India, practising yoga in a number of Ashrams and has also practised in Hawaii, Costa Rica and variousother far flung places across the world. In 2006 she handed in her notice as a psychology lecturer to take up yoga as a full time career. Along side her PGCE teaching qualification, she runs Yoga teacher training courses for Fitness Inspired Teacher Training. She thoroughly enjoys teaching Yoga and has expanded her knowledge by completing qualifications in ante/postnatal, meditation and pilates as well as becoming an Assessor for the Fitt Pilates Teacher Training Course.
After graduating from Loughborough and Exeter Universities, Keith taught in schools and managed fitness facilities in England and Australia, returning to Lecture in the FE sector. Having qualified as an assessor and internal verifier he joined OCR in 2002 as an External Verifier in the Active Leisure Sector with responsibility for schemes within sport, exercise, fitness and therapies. This role within quality assurance of vocational qualifications was complemented by his role as an Additional Inspector for OFSTED. Since 2003 Keith has held a post as a Senior Lecturer at Chichester University involved in Teacher and Coaching Education. He has tutored, assessed and verified for FITT from the start in 2008, and maintains his own fitness through Triathlon, competing for the GB age group team at the London 2013 World Championships.
